What it is and what it's for
The surgical table is the surface where the patient is positioned throughout the entire procedure. Modern models are electro-hydraulic or fully electric, with motorized height, trendelenburg, lateral tilt and articulated head/foot sections — the surgeon positions the patient for any specialty without needing the team. Fixed base (routine, cardio, heavy ortho) or mobile base (transport into and out of the OR). Standard capacity 250 kg, bariatric 400+ kg. Accessories (leg holders, arm boards, anesthesia frame) are part of the table, not a separate purchase.

- Capacity: 250 kg standard, 300+ kg for heavy ortho, 400+ kg bariatric
- Radiolucency: essential for use with C-arm and cath lab
- Reverse trendelenburg: required in urology and gynecology
- Articulated head and foot sections: multi-specialty without swapping tables
- Pressure-relief mattress: required for long procedures (>3h)
